Grammy-award winner Peter Rowan is a singer-songwriter with a career spanning over five decades.  From his early years playing under the tutelage of Bluegrass veteran Bill Monroe, to his time in Old & In the Way and his breakout as a solo musician and bandleader, Rowan has built a devoted, international fan base through a solid stream of recordings, collaborative projects, and constant touring.  Internationally, Rowan often performs as a solo singer-songwriter, while stateside, along with solo appearances, he plays in three bands: the Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band, a quintet featuring  Keith Little, Chris Henry, Blaine Sprouse and Paul Knight; Big Twang Theory and its Texas Cousin Twang n Groove and rock band The Free Mexican Air Force.

Steve Seskin is a successful songwriter who has written seven number one songs, including Grammy-nominated “Grown Men Don’t Cry,” as recorded by Tim McGraw, and “Don’t Laugh at Me,” winner of NSAI Song of the Year and Music Row Magazine Song of the Year has lived in the SF Bay Area for almost 50 years, performing at clubs, festivals and house concerts along the way. Bryan Bowers Bryan Bowers is an American autoharp player who is frequently credited with introducing the instrument to new generations of musicians. In 1993, Bowers was inducted into the Autoharp Hall of Fame whose membership includes Mother Maybelle Carter, Kilby Snow, and Sara Carter. Gordy Ohliger, the Musical Mark Twain, performs period songs circa 1800-1930.   Gordy presents his programs in museums, music festivals, and concert series internationally.. He is recognized as an important figure as a performing musicologist of early American musical forms.

As the frontman of the Youngbloods, he immortalized the ideals of the Woodstock generation with "Get Together," an international hit that called for peace and brotherhood during the turbulent 1960s   Although the Youngbloods called it quits after releasing two additional albums and a pair of live recordings, Jesse maintained his prolific pace.  A longtime tradition of folksingers is to create music that responds to the modern era, serving as a sort of public record.

The Modern Mandolin Quartet was formed in 1985 to give a new voice to that most American of musical instruments, the mandolin.  In spite of humble beginnings they spent the next 10 years touring across the U.S. and Europe, recording four albums for Windham Hill and two more on independent labels.   The group's most recently released recording, "Americana", took the classical world by storm, being the only classical recording to receive 3 Grammy Nominations in 2013.

Jeff Pehrson performs with Box Set, a folk rock band which he cofounded.   Jeff first met singer-songwriter Jim Brunberg at Simple Pleasures, a café in San Francisco's Richmond District. Recognizing their innate musical chemistry, they united and formed the trio Box Set.  The band was recognized by Billboard on their "Honor Roll of Unsigned Talent" in 1994, and was named "Group of the Year" by the National Academy of Songwriters in 1995. In 1997, Box Set won two Bay Area Music Awards ("Bammies") for "Best Club Band" and "Outstanding Americana/Roots Band".   Box Set released a total of 12 recordings between 1991 and 2006.

Norton Buffalo, was an American singer-songwriter, country and blues harmonica player, record producer, bandleader and recording artist who was a versatile proponent of the harmonica  In 1976 he joined the Steve Miller Band's Fly Like an Eagle Tour and performed and recorded as a member of The Steve Miller Band for over 32 years  Buffalo was legendary among harpists (harmonicists).

Peppino D’Agostino emerged on the acoustic guitar scene in the early 80’s as a leading member of the second wave of the great fingerstylists that helped redefine the instrument in the ’90s. His remarkable technique, penchant for open tunings, and percussive effects are the basis of his unique compositional style.  D’Agostino has performed in more than 30 countries, at prestigious international festivals.

Dave Van Ronk was an American folk singer. An important figure in the American folk music revival and New York City's Greenwich Village scene in the 1960s. He was a widely admired avuncular figure in "the Village", presiding over the coffeehouse folk culture and acting as a friend to many up-and-coming artists by inspiring, assisting, and promoting them. Folk performers he befriended include Bob Dylan, Tom Paxton, Patrick Sky, Phil Ochs, Ramblin' Jack Elliott, and Joni Mitchell. 


Van Ronk received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) in December 1997.

The Bobs are an a cappella vocal group founded in San Francisco in the early 1980s. The overwhelming majority of their repertoire is original, with songs discussing a diverse array of humorous subjects. 

A documentary about the group, called Sign My Snarling Movie: 25 Years of The Bobs was released in summer 2007.

Leave it to the Fabulous Bud E. Luv to come up with a memory that involves the Rat Pack and time served.

As the alter ego of bandleader Robert Vickers, Mr. Luv has spent the past three decades hamming it up on the Bay Area club scene, telling tall tales and playing easy-listening covers of beloved rock hits.

Norton Buffalo, was an American singer-songwriter, countryand blues harmonica player, record producer, bandleader and recording artist who was a versatile proponent of the harmonica. Buffalo was legendary among harpists (harmonicists).

In 1976 he joined the Steve Miller Band's Fly Like an Eagle Tour and performed and recorded as a member of The Steve Miller Band for over 32 years.

The Knockouts was his Bay Area band he played with when not on tour with Steve Miller.

Buffalo, the son of a harmonica player, was born in Oakland, California, and raised in Richmond, California.

Cats and Jammers formed in 1986 in the San Francisco Bay area. Tony Marcus and Kevin Wimmer enjoyed their twin swing fiddle sound and pulled in Piper Heisig on bass and Sylvia Herold on guitar to fill out the sound. 


They revived early swing where it counts -in the music.

The Sons of San Joaquinis an American Western family band. They have been credited with the rich durability of the traditional Western music they present, as well as outstanding original cowboy songs. They have over a dozen albums, including a gospel album and a greatest hits album. 

They were inducted into the Western Music Association Hall of Fame in 2006.

Carlos Reyes- Jean Luc Ponty


Carlos Reyes is a recording artist, producer, engineer, harpist and violinist who has been breaking musical barriers since his first public performance at the age of five.

Carlos thrilled thousands of loyal followers with the Jazz-Rock group Merlin as they played all over the SF bay area. Recently he has toured nationally with the Doobie Brothers.
